From May 26-June 2nd, we’ll be joined by Gloria Reyes, a Maya Achi lawyer with the Rabinal Legal Clinic. Gloria is leading the case for justice for 36 women from Rabinal who suffered sexual violence during the Internal Armed Conflict and genocide against the Mayan people. She’ll speak throughout the Maritimes on this precedent setting case!
More about her: Gloria also has experience working on land conflict cases and current cases of violence against women. Before becoming a lawyer, Gloria was a school teacher and in 2016 was the director of the New Hope Foundation Education Centre.
